Ultrasonic Measurement the LaserLinc Way

It's been a year LaserLinc introduced its UltraGauge+™ wall measurement system. The UG+ has been a hit with our customers, and the editorial staff of Wire & Cable Technology International selected it as one of the top products of 2008. The UltraGauge+ system is perfect for in-process, non-destructive measurement of the ID, OD, and Wall of medical tubing. We will have it set up in our MD&M West booth—come see the UG+ in action at the show!

Combine scanners old and new, ours AND those of our competitors

All of the scanners in the above photograph from LaserLinc's booth at MD&M East 2008 are running on one standard Windows PC. What makes it happen is the TLAser400™ card, pictured in the upper left. On the lower right, the UltraGauge+ system, shown here with a Triton330 OD gauge, transducer block in the trade show water tank, and the digital signal processing unit.

The TLAser400 card provides the interface, the processing comes from the PC, but what pulls everything together is our Windows-based Total Vu™ software, giving you complete, in-process measurement of OD, ID, and wall for wire, cable, fiber, hose, tube, pipe, centerless grinding, and many other industries, including multi-layer products.

We can give you real-time product cross-section and measurement display, tolerance checking, trending, SPC, flaw detection, and data logging.  Additionally, with process control and Profit Maximizer™, users can maintain quality and save material automatically.

Reduced scrap, material savings, and better overall production efficiency: benefits your company can’t afford to do without at any time, but are especially important now.

In a normal operating environment, you might be replacing some of your older systems. You might be replacing them with our systems.

But now, you are most likely going to have to keep your old systems running. We think the best thing you can do with your older micrometers is to run them through our TLAser400 card and use our Total Vu software to monitor your process.

If you are planning to attend MD&M West this year, we would love to talk to you. Please feel free to schedule a time to meet with Jeff Kohler, LaserLinc's vice-president, for an overview of any of the technologies that we offer, or to discuss specific projects.

And if you are unable to attend the show, contact us and we'll discuss your application by phone or make arrangements for on-site or internet demonstration.
