ETHERNET INTERFACE

These products use a standard Ethernet connection to transfer data between the device and the host processor.

POWER OVER ETHERNET (POE)

These products receive power over the same Ethernet connection used for communications, thereby eliminating the need for a separate power source, power cable, or conduit. Currently available on Axion212, Axion222, and Triton330.

Interfaces

The NetLinc™ interface uses a standard Ethernet connection to transfer micrometer data to the host processor. This seamless communication provides the following advantages: 

  • 100% compatibility with LaserLinc’s Total Vu™ HMI, which offers process monitoring, control, customizable graphical user interface, and reporting capabilities.
  • Use standard, commercially available Ethernet cables.
  • Achieve maximum repeatability and accuracy through digital transmission.
  • By using an Ethernet network, there are no distance limitations between gauges and the host processor.
  • Use an existing network (bandwidth usage is as low as 4% of a 100Mb connection).
  • Easy setup. Simply connect directly between the gauge and the host processor in a single micrometer application.
  • The ability for wireless network communication.
  • The NetLinc interface is supported by the SmartLinc processor or Total Vu software on any Windows-compatible device, such as a desktop, laptop, notebook, netbook, mini, or all-in-one PC.

Upgrade an Existing LaserLinc Micrometer Interface

If you have a Total Vu system with a TLAser400 card interface for your LaserLinc micrometer, you can easily upgrade to a NetLinc interface. Simply return your TLAser400 card for partial credit toward an External NetLinc interface and a Windows 10-compatible Total Vu version 6 upgrade. Your software configuration and recipes will automatically carry forward.

Legacy Zumbach ODAC-J Laser Micrometer Interface

If you have a Zumbach ODAC micrometer with the -J interface, an external NetLinc device upgrade will allow you to replace your obsolete processor with a PC-based, Windows 10-compatible Total Vu HMI interface.
