Dual-axis, taper—measure the change in the diameter of a single part over a given length. With two axes of measurement, taper can be computed in each axis independently, or based on the change in the average diameter. Read more about taper in one of our application notes: Bump/Taper Tube. This type of measurement requires the zero latency encoder input option available with Total Vu systems.

These measurement methods can be performed using Total Vu software and any of the micrometers that LaserLinc supports.
